Your Core "Sound"
Gods and Goddesses,
Welcome to the second day of our challenge. Last Wednesday we discussed the Body, Connection, and Disconnection. Were you able to relate and if so tell me about it by tagging me and using the hashtags. You can also leave a review at www.sensuousembodyment.com
Today we will discuss the benefits of sound. So let's get to it. "Yeassssss"
Sound healing, which is also known as sound therapy, has been practiced since ancient times. The concept of sound therapy is based on the idea that every part of your body creates a vibration which resonates in a certain way. Put another way, vibrational healing is based on the idea that everything in the universe - including our bodies - is in a state of vibration.
When your body is out of balance, diseases can result. That is, illness is caused by blockage which stops the organ in question from vibrating at its healthy frequency. Sound healing works by sending sound waves throughout your body, which brings harmony through oscillation and resonance. This helps restore your body’s balance which in turn helps you heal.

The second anchor of our challenge is Sound
because this is the center of our core and assist us in our journey and transformation.
In this challenge we will understand sound and it's benefits
Euphonious Sound
I have always noticed that people love the calmness in my voice. I was always asked if I can talk them to sleep or record my voice for sleep. Lol! I use to think this was weird. Actually, my voice has a euphonious sound. "It's pleasing to the ear", and it makes harmonious combinations of words & tranquilize the mind. In other words, it's music to the naked ear and feeds the soul sensually and sometimes sexually.
Vibrational Sound
The very first time I experienced vibrational sound therapy with my crystal singing bowls, I walked away knowing that I needed to learn this modality so that I could share it with others.
At the time I was in a constant state of fight or flight. My body was stressed due to work and just life period. The bowls dropped me into a deep state of pure relaxation and bliss that I hadn’t been able to access in a long time. I had an outer body experience.
For me, the vibrations bring inspired lucid dream visions, a sense of journeying deep within myself, and a reminder of our innate vibrational nature that resonates with the entire world. The experience enables me to feel more attuned with my body through sensing the movement of energy as it travels through every system - organs, bones, lymph, etc. And it simultaneously takes my spirit to transpersonal states of union.
Everything is made of vibration. All communication happens through vibration. As we connect more deeply with our vibratory and resonant selves, we can feel the more subtle call of the fabric of life within and without.
Sound Baths
A sound bath is a meditative experience where those in attendance are “bathed” in sound waves. These waves are produced by various sources, including healing instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, percussion, chimes, rattles, tuning forks, and even the human voice itself.
Advocates of sound bathing say the healing tones help them clear their minds and reach a meditative state faster than silent meditation alone. Although it’s tempting to save money and simply listen to meditative music at home – which is certainly relaxing – a portion of a sound bath’s benefits come from the actual vibrational frequencies that the instruments release when played.
Benefits of Sound Baths
-
Calms your body and mind.
-
Reduces stress and anxiety.
-
Increases focus and clarity.
-
Decreases tension and fatigue.
-
Boosts your mood and reduces feelings of anger.
-
Improves sleep.
-
Elevates feelings of spiritual well-being.
Mentally, you can prepare for a sound bath by recognizing the fact that you’re about to partake on a deeply personal, meditative journey. Take a few minutes to think about what you’d like to gain from the experience – would you like to relax as fully as possible, or would you like to find additional clarity on an issue? Prepare to release other distractions from your mind and consider leaving your cell phone at home or in your car.
Euphonious vs Cacophonous Sound
Euphony sounds are pleasant and beautiful to listen to. Moaning during sex can be pleasant to the ear. Humming while cooking or rocking a baby to sleep. Etc...,
Cacophonous sounds are harsh and can be unpleasant to the ear. Cacophony would be the amalgamation of different sounds you hear in a busy city street or market. You hear sounds of vehicles, announcements on loudspeakers, music, and chatter of people, or even a dog barking at the same time and without any harmony.
Remember to tag all of your experiences after your daily challenges.

Now let's prepare for our sound bath
-
These sound baths are not designed to heal any symptoms and are simply meant to support a balanced lifestyle.
-
Dress warmly and keep a blanket nearby for the longer sound baths when you’re lying down as the body will start to cool as you relax.
-
We always recommend sipping warm tea or hot water after a sound bath.
-
Use a bolster or pillow to support your hips and neck if needed.
-
Don’t be tempted to set the volume too high, especially if you’re wearing headphones. The more subtle, the more effective.
